LOW COST
SUBSCRIPTION TIER

About

This was an academic project that I created for my class IMT 587 Principles of Product & Project Management.  This class required us to work in a team of 4 and select a product or a feature that we wanted to implement using Agile methodologies over the three months of the class. My team selected Amazon Prime Video and created various MVPs and, after a thorough SWOT analysis, identified the 'Low-Cost Subscription Tier' to be our minimum viable product. Through four sprints, my team members and I rotated roles as Product Owner, Product Manager, Project Manager, and Scrum Master, that provided us with a comprehensive experience in diverse responsibilities, accountability, and teamwork skills development.

MVP: Low Cost Tier Subscription

Amazon Prime currently bundles Prime and Prime Video at $14.99 per month or $139 annually. Recognizing regional preferences, our new low-cost tier offers Prime Video alone at $9.99 per month or $79.99 annually. This allows customers in countries with alternative e-commerce choices to access Prime Video without the higher bundled cost. The strategy aims to attract more users specifically interested in Prime Video services in regions where Amazon is not the primary e-commerce retailer.
